A mobile app studio · Est. 2026

Software made with unusual care.

BD Media builds iOS apps the way other people build furniture — slowly, deliberately, and to be kept. Most studios ship fast and forget. We'd rather make one thing you'd actually notice.

01 — Ethos

Anyone can ship an app. Almost no one sweats the parts you'd never notice. That gap is the whole company.

  1. 01

    Design is the specification.

Every screen is decided before a line of code — the colors, the type, the motion timing, the exact words, even the failure states. We write it down, argue about it, and lock it. The build is just keeping the promise.

  2. 02

Nothing ships that could be anyone's.

Every screen starts from the problem in front of it, not a starter template. If it could belong to any app, it doesn't belong to ours yet — so we begin it again until it could only be this one.

  3. 03

    We finish by subtracting.

One accent. One idea per screen. The expensive part of craft is deciding what to leave out, and then holding the line when it's tempting to add — so that's where the hours go.

  4. 04

We make few things on purpose.

A studio is judged by its weakest work, so we don't make much. What we do make, we put our name on and stand behind for years.

Subside

First release

A tension-headache routine, mapped to the muscles behind it.

Tap where it hurts. Subside maps the muscles most likely feeding the ache, then guides a 90-second self-release you can do anywhere. Log each one and watch whether the frequency shifts, week by week — your own trend, not a promise.

Next More in the workshop. We're a young studio building a small number of apps with a lot of care — the next one is already on the bench.

03 — How we work

We treat design as a contract, not a vibe.

Before anything gets built, the whole app exists on paper: the data model, every screen state, the motion timing, the exact copy, even the failure cases. By the time code starts, there's nothing left to improvise. It's a slower way to begin and a much faster way to finish — and it's why the details hold together when you actually use the thing.

  • One studio No outsourced design. No template starts.
  • Contract-first Every pixel and word decided before the build.
  • Built to keep Apps we'd still be proud of in five years.
